Friday's tutoring session was a dud. I printed up circulars and handed them out. I even called a few parents. Only three kids showed up and out of the three, only two were mine. (The third was from in the class I lost last year.)I was able to go over the midterm with each one of the boys and by the time they left, they understood every mistake they made. I am confident those mistakes will not be repeated. We even went through a regents exam, doing every question previously learned.
The turnout was dismal but the kids who came benefited. There is only so much any teacher can do.
