This was the reason why I like reffering to Elphaba from Wicked and 'defying gravity'. Since Wicked is about the Wicked Witch of the West's point of view, I thought it was more than appropriate to go by the name Elphaba.

As we know from Wicked, the point that the writer was trying to make, "Was Elphaba truly wicked or was she a idealistic young girl at heart?".
