Student: Ms, you ruined my evening.
Me: How did I do that?
Student: In the car [going home from parent teacher conferences] and then all night, all I heard was how important math was and how I better go for help and start doing better.
Me: Good, that is what you have to do.
Student: Ms, you didn't have to be so hard.
